Artist Statement
I describe my work as contemporary impressionism. I see things in real life and add an impressionistic twist to them to provoke an emotional response. My goal with my art is to share the joy I experience while creating, with the viewers of my pieces. Many of my works have been displayed in various locations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Texas and Boston . Local shows in Connecticut include Ely Contemporary Art Center, Mark Twain Library, Mark Twain Library, Beechwood Art Center, Westport Playhouse, Westport Art Center, Lockwood Mathews Mansion.
I attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a major in Fine Arts. I then continued my studies at the GSAA Commercial School Of Art and graduated with a degree in Advertising Art, Layout and Design. I have worked as a graphic designer for various agencies for many years and have had many designs published in various publications such as Computer Currents magazine and Ad Week. Painting has been a long-time passion of mine. I was influenced by many artists from the Masters like Monet up to the 80's such as Pat Nagel. It's often difficult to part with my work, however I find it so incredibly gratifying to see the joy that it can bring to others. I hope you enjoy viewing my work. Please let me know what you think ... I would love to hear from you! Thank you.
